My curiosity, what is the purpose of those 'addons' (not Acronis Plus Pack)? What’s their use with TIH 2010?
Sorry but searching Acronis Knowledge Base didn't help... :-(

It includes the SafeMedia (Safe Mode [DOS-based] version of TI) and the BartPE plugin files (used for adding TI to a BartPE or VistaPE build).

Safe media allows you to make a safe mode Acronis loader Linux bootable media - it is described in the manual. Using the BartPE plug-in is also discussed in the manual and other places in the Knowledge Base (I don't have these at my disposal, sorry. I found several).

There are quite a few BartPE tutorials around (on this forum and on the web). Here is one example.
Once installed, the SafeMedia version will be available to include on the TI CD when you create it using TI. When you boot the CD, you'll get a menu to select which version you want to run (Full Mode, Safe Mode).

Hello all,
MudCrab and Gary, thank you for the help, you're absolutely correct.
GP45, let me add a few words about Safe Media add-on. The Safe Version of bootable media does not include USB, PC Card, or SCSI drivers. This is recommended for use on rare occasions where problems running the full version occur. After installation Acronis True Image Home safe version will appear as one of the components to be offered by Acronis Media Builder for placing on the bootable media and you will be able to add Acronis True Image Home safe version when creating your bootable rescue media. For the detailed information on how to create a bootable media please refer to the Chapter 15 of Acronis True Image Home 2010 User's Guide.
Please reply to this thread if you have any questions.
Thank you.
